Hi I'm Katie Roberts a professional artist, a mum and an experienced tutor of kids and adults.
I found my calling as an artist at the age of four years old and I believe everyone has an artistic side.
I would like to share my love of art and help kids develop their understanding and appreciation of art and their own innate creativity.
Katie believes that "All children sing and dance, draw and paint, all children are naturally creative. At some point something happens that leads most adults I have met to say 'I cant draw' I believe with nurturing, encouragement and positive experiences we can change this pattern and keep your child drawing for life"
The discouragement that children often experience can kill peoples creative confidence for life. Katie really believes that everyone can draw and that we all have a creative side that needs to be expressed.
"Art is fundamental to being a human being and essential to our culture. Art is educational, as it teaches observation the basis for all science and learning. Art is also an important way to express who we are and communicate with each other."
These classes provide quality art history lessons, quality materials and freedom to explore self expression and play with materials. Your child will benefit from the study of International, Australian and women artists as well.
